What is CrossFit to you? CrossFit to me is camaraderie. CrossFit gives me the same atmosphere as being on a team everytime I step into the box. Everyone in the box is competing against each other in every WOD, but they are also encouraging everyone to get better.
What is your proudest CrossFit accomplishment? Making it through a WOD w/ unbroken DU’s.
What is your favorite CrossFit workout? Bear Complex. Favorite exercise is the Clean & Jerk
What keeps you motivated to keep training at Atlas? The coaches and other CrossFitters keep me motivated by wanting to compete with them and they are always helpful on the days when you just aren’t feeling it.

What is Crossfit to you? For me, Crossfit is a great way to push myself both physically and mentally with a group of people I enjoy being around.
What is your favorite Crossfit workout? The box I started at is in Cali and we did our Saturday workouts at the beach sometimes in the summer. This one was in Newport Beach and was a partner WOD. 5 Rounds – Both people swim 200 M, 30 KB swings as partners, 30 box jumps as partners, 30 burpees as partners. It was cool because we were all in our trunks on the beach working out in the sand and ocean. Burpees are actually nice in the water and box jumps suck in the sand. Good times!
What is your least favorite workout or exercise? By far man-makers.

5 rep max of 1.75x bodyweight deadlift; 5 rep max of 1.5 bodyweight squat; completing Fran as Rx; 5 HSPUs and a muscle up I am also on Team Illinois for the Transplant Games of America in July-Aug 2012, where I'll be participating in the swimming events (I was a swimmer through college). The main goal is to go sub 1:00 in the 100y fly!
What is your favorite CrossFit workout? I enjoy deadlifts and push presses
What is your proudest CrossFit accomplishment? Probably that I can now actually run without blowing out a lung.
What is your least favorite CrossFit workout or exercise? Overhead Squats for sure. and Burpees.
What keeps you motivated to train at Atlas? It’s the only workout that’s actually fun to me, plus I just want to see how much more I’m capable of.

What is CrossFit to you? CrossFit is a way for me to stay in great shape and is a way for me to work on my overall health every day.
What is your proudest CrossFit accomplishment? The fact that I’ve stuck with it for over a year and have made so much overall improvement – going from someone who couldn’t do many of the lifts to being competent in the complicated movements and being able to keep up with the much younger athletes in class.
What keeps you motivated to train at Atlas? Great coaches and members. It’s a great community, and my life wouldn’t be the same without it.

What is your proudest CrossFit accomplishment? I can still remember when I pressed 90#. I didn’t think I could do it, but Emily thought I could, so I tried and I did it. Stringing together double-unders was also pretty sweet (I might have done a little dance).
What is your favorite CrossFit workout? I love the heavy lifting WODs.
What is your least favorite CrossFit workout or exercise? I dread WODs with box jumps, rowing, and running.
What keeps you motivated to train at Atlas? The community and the coaches. Everyone pushes me to do better every day and that’s what keeps me coming back.
I really want to get a muscle up Stringing together more than 3 chest to bar pull-ups.
What is CrossFit to you? The opportunity to work out in a way that is highly effective, frequently scary, and never boring, which keeps me continuously challenging myself and learning new things.
What is your proudest CrossFit accomplishment? I dropped over 60 pounds doing CrossFit.
What is your favorite CrossFit workout? Grace – elegant and brutal.
What keeps you motivated to train at Atlas? The people and the results.

What is CrossFit to you? CrossFit to me is a new challenge everyday. Although CrossFit is a part of my routine, there is nothing routine about the workouts. I always look forward to showing up and seeing what is written on the board.
What is your favorite CrossFit workout? Anything that includes hanging from something or jumping onto or over something.
What keeps you motivated to train at Atlas? It’s important to me to feel like I am healthy and in shape for anything at anytime during the year and I feel like Atlas keeps me there.
