CrossFit Kids Course

Start and end time: 9 am to 5 pm each day with a 1 hour lunch break.

The CrossFit Kids Course is an interactive weekend on the specifics of teaching CrossFit to kids and teens. Learn child-specific cues for foundational CrossFit movements, scaling, progressions and drills.

Also covered: Neurological Development as it relates to exercise and kids, weightlifting and kids, health & safety, programming, teaching styles, how to structure a Kids class, CrossFit Kids Games.  You will also learn techniques and methods to overcome the unique challenges presented when teaching the CrossFit methodology to kids, and  programming concepts for affiliates, teachers, coaches, and others.

Prerequisites:

  • A criminal background check must be conducted prior to registering for the CrossFit Kids Course. Please download the following registration form and email it to seminars@crossfit.com
If you are not a US citizen and you are attending a CrossFit Kids Course in the US, please contact seminars@crossfit.com.

  • Completion of CrossFit Level 1 Certificate Course is required before registering for this course.  Attainment of the CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate is required in order to receive the CrossFit Kids Trainer Certificate.
Note: You may register for a CrossFit Kids Course if you have not yet completed, but have a confirmed registration for an upcoming CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Course. You will receive a CrossFit Kids Trainer Certificate if you have passed the Level One Certificate Test; if you have not yet passed the Level One Certificate Test, you will receive a Kids Certificate of Attendance. After you pass the Level One test, email seminars@crossfit.com for an upgraded Kids Trainer Certificate.
